Road Trips and Mind Trips

For as long as I can think back, (my teen years weren't that long ago) 18 year old Debbie has been wanting to see beautiful art filled locally grown fresh OREGON. Finally 28 year old Debbie got just that. I can say for a fact that it was beautiful, very cold and colorful. We drove up the coast into Oregon and got to see so many beautiful cities it really does give you so much perspective in life, people are born and live in small cities and towns they seem so peaceful and calm. I was born and raised in Los Angeles the only other city I lived in was Chihuahua in Mexico and I was definitely always happier there mostly because I loved spending time with my grandmother and because no one seemed so in a rush or trying to keep up with trends and making more money than they need. Life is different and I really enjoyed it even if it was only a week.

We Left home on Sunday morning 5 a.m  and took the 101. Our first stop was Pismo Beach we stopped for only a few minuted to use the restroom walked a bit, but it was lovely and then we headed up towards Morro Bay and while on our way to BIG SUR we stopped to see some Elephant Seals laying on the beach in Cambira.
By noon we finally arrive in Big Sur and saw the beautiful waterfall in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. It was a short easy hike to the view point parking was a bit crazy many people were there it was Sunday the parking was 10 dollars, the ranger was really nice and helpful. There is no beach access because too many accidents had and some fatalities. Its still quiet lovely from far away.

We drove up the coast for 3 days and then ended up in Tillamook cheese factory before we headed into Portland for Thanksgiving. For the next post ill write about San Francisco, Coos Bay and The Redwoods.
